The Puget Sound Engineering & Science Scholarship Fund (PSE&SSF) and the Society of American Military Engineers - Seattle Post (SAME) have initiated their college scholarship program for 2008.

Follow the link provided to obtain a scholarship application.  The deadline for receipt of scholarship applications is March 11, 2009.

PSE&SSF High School Program: The student must be accepted in a full time program of study towards a bachelors degree in engineering, science or related fields.   Up to $3,000 in college scholarships (usually awarded in amounts of $1,500) will be awarded to graduating high school seniors that will be attending an accredited college or university in the fall of 2009.

SAME High School Program: The student must be accepted in a full time program of study towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related fields.   Up to $7,500 in college scholarships (usually awarded in amounts of $1,500) will be awarded to graduating high school seniors that will be attending an accredited college or university in the fall of 2008.

SAME Post-Sponsored College Program:It is anticipated that up to $15,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships are usually given in increments of $3000 with the final number and amount determined by the number and quality of applications.
    
SAME Seattle Post Member-sponsored Scholarships are open to all student applicants who meet the following selection requirements:

Must be a dependent of or sponsored by a current member of the Seattle Post of the Society of American Military Engineers. Each Post Member may sponsor multiple dependants or one applicant who is not a dependant.
May be either a currently enrolled full time college student or a graduating high school senior. The applicant must be studying or accepted for study towards a bachelors degree in the fields of engineering, science or a related field at an accredited college or university full time.
If a graduating high school senior, the applicant must have graduated or be scheduled to graduate from an accredited high school, public or private, in 2009

The Society of American Military Engineers Seattle Post is a non-profit association linking military and civilian engineers and professionals in engineering and science-related fields. The Society's membership totals more than 22,000 civilians, 6,000 members of the armed forces and more than 1,000 engineering and science students. PSE&SSF administers the scholarship program on behalf of SAME.
